We left home at 3 AM, stopped to wake up Larry so he could take us to the airport. Had a great travel day: Winnipeg to Minneapolis to Atlanta to Guatemala City. As you can see from our selfie in the Minneapolis airport, we love travelling.
From Guatemala City we took a 1 hour taxi ride to Antigua. Had an opportunity to practice my Spanish: the driver was very kind but not very impressed. Arrived at hotel La Sin Ventura around 10:30PM. It’s right above a bar having a Ladies Night, music throbbing but mostly empty. The music didn’t inhibit our sleep in the least.
I love the blog, Walter! The photos are wonderful too. It gives me the vicarious feeling of your adventures. Dave and Mary’s place looks amazing. So simple and beautiful. The view is stunning. I really love the picture of the two of you on Day 1 at the airport. Lots of love!
